Today is World Mental Health Day, and I’m reflecting on my own journey. At 26, I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, and for years I battled addiction and alcohol dependency. Now, at 32, I’m 19 months sober, running my own business, exploring public speaking, and building better relationships with those I love. It hasn't been an easy road, but these 5 things have made all the difference: 1. Self Intervention: I had to acknowledge something was wrong. The brain is just like any other part of the body – it can heal if you approach it the right way. 2. Therapy: Finding the right therapist is like finding a good barber – you might go through a few bad cuts, but when you find the right fit, it’s a game-changer. 3. Hypnotherapy & Meditation: Your subconscious is like a server running in the background. Unless you tap into it and update it regularly, you're only fixing things at a surface level. 4. Self Awareness: Know your triggers and the signs your body gives you when your mind isn’t working as it should. Catching these signs early can prevent a full breakdown. 5. We’re all in the same boat: It can be tough opening up to loved ones, but remember, they might be going through the same thing. If you'd want to know when they’re struggling, then let them be there for you too. Mental health isn’t a solo journey – it’s one we share. Let’s keep the conversation going and support each other. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters
