A conversation this week really reinforced something I've believed for a long time. We were asked to quote for staging an empty three-storey home. The property had originally been photographed while the previous owners were still living there, so the online listing looked warm, furnished and easy to understand. By the time viewings started, however, the owners had moved out and the house was completely empty. The feedback was consistent. Buyers struggled to visualise how they'd use the space, where furniture would go, and how the three floors would work as a home. The property has now been withdrawn from the market. It was a reminder that buyers aren't just buying square footage, they're trying to picture their future. When the viewing experience doesn't match the expectation set online, creating that emotional connection becomes much harder. Who here has come across a similar situation?
