I used to think multitasking was the whole job. Last year I put that theory to the test. I ended up flustered, stressed and distracted from morning to night. I was jumping between projects at a rate of knots, trying to be everything to everyone. Terrified that if I took my eye off any one thing, the whole lot would come down like a house of cards. The irony is it made everything slower. Instead of finishing one thing to a standard I was proud of, I was nudging five things along an inch at a time. You hit a point where you realise this can't be the best way to move forward. So for the last few months, Rich, David and I put our heads down on one thing. The new app. I'm made up to say the MVP is done. The app stores have approved it, and we're now testing with our Customer Advisory Board. I'm properly proud of what we've built. I think it's going to make a few people double take us. And with that chapter signed off, I can now put my whole heart into our debut in Leeds. Oddly, I'm buzzing about it. Odd because our events usually leave me anxious. But this time I'm not juggling. I'm not spinning plates. I've got a clear run at it for the next two months, and that's a challenge I'm relishing. If you'd have told me a year ago that doing less would feel like more, I'd have laughed. But here we are.
